Your Safety is
Our Number 1 Priority

As an organization, Family inHome Caregiving of Monterey takes the risk of local cases of the Coronavirus COVID-19 virus very seriously. The nature of our business — assisting so many clients in their home — poses risks for the transmission to a vulnerable sector of the population. We have always taken the position of “preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.”

It is important to note that there are no reported or confirmed cases in Family inHome Caregiving of Monterey’s Clients or Home Care Aides currently as of February 14, 2021. We are exercising caution and would like everyone to also take additional safeguards to help ensure everyone stays safe.

We have implemented additional protocols with our staff to ensure that we do our best to protect everyone from possible transmission.

We are making every effort to obtain additional Personal Protective Equipment (gloves, masks, sanitization wipes, etc.) for our Home Care Aide staff.

We are providing additional education and training to our Home Care Aide staff regarding COVID-19, care for clients and cleaning/prevention methods.

We have triage and service protocols in the event that a client contracts COVID-19.

We will work with our clients, their family members and the staff at their retirement residence/facility, on appropriate steps.

We have reporting protocols should any Home Care Aide staff, or their immediate family, become ill with suspected symptoms.

All our Home Care Aides wear a bracelet that gives their temperature prior to entering a home. If there is an abnormal reading they will be asked to go home.

We are committed to your welfare and if we all work together and communicate, we will get through this challenge. For more information please read our blog for daily updates on COVID-19 at  https://familyinhomecaregiving.com/blog
