If you have diabetes, counting your carbohydrate intake can be good for your health.  This includes both meals and snacks.  Compared with protein and fat, carbs have the greatest impact on the glucose level of diabetics.  By counting carbs, you can more accurately dose mealtime insulin and hopefully keep your blood glucose level stable.
